Does God's word only work inside the pages of the Bible or inside the four walls of a church?  Of course not.  So why then doesn't every church in America have scripture on the outside of its buildings, near the road where it can impact everyone who passes by the campus?  The average pastor preaches to between 200 and 2,000 people each Sunday, but thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people pass by the church each and every day.  Perhaps 80% of these people have yet to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and as such are destined for hell.   This should be unacceptable to any and all churches, pastors, and Christians. 

THE WORD OF GOD  IS INSTRUCTIVE IN THIS REGARD.  

"I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."  Isaiah 43:19 ESV

"Write my answer on a billboard, large and clear, so that anyone can read it at a glance and rush to tell the others." Habakkuk 2:2 TLB

WE NEED TO BE DILIGENT AND INTENTIONAL IN EXPOSING GOD'S WORD TO ALL AMERICANS; TO THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN TO CHURCH, NEVER OPENED A BIBLE, OR HAVE NEVER HEARD THE GOOD NEWS. 

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 ESV

THE WORD OF GOD IS THE ONLY OFFENSIVE WEAPON IN OUR SPIRITUAL ARMOR.  ALONG WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, IT CAN CONVICT AND TRANSFORM WHOMEVER HEARS IT OR WHOMEVER READS IT.

"My words will not return to me empty, but will achieve the purposes for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11 ESV

"Is not my word like fire," declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock into pieces?  Jeremiah 23:29

¹⁴ Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; ¹⁷ and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, ¹⁸ praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,  Ephesians 6:14-18

¹² For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  Hebrews 4:12

NEHEMIAH AND EZRA REBUILD THE FOUNDATIONS OF JERUSALEM, FAMILY BY FAMILY.  AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE, GOD'S WORD WAS PROCLAIMED IN THE PUBLIC SQUARE.  TODAY, WE HAVE A "RESPONSITUNITY" TO DO THE SAME, REBUILDING AMERICA'S FOUNDATION OF FAITH, CHURCH FAMILY BY CHURCH FAMILY, NEIGHBORHOOD BY NEIGHBORHOOD, PUTTING GOD'S WORD UP IN THE PUBLIC SQUARE;   

And all the people gathered as one man into the square before the Water Gate. And they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses that the Lord had commanded Israel. ² So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month. ³ And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.  Nehemiah 8:1-3 ESV

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: ² preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. ³ For the time is coming when people will not endure sound 4:2 teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 2 Timothy 4:1-3  

REMEMBER, JESUS SAID; 

For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”  Mark 8:38

Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.  Matthew 12:30

So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.  Revelation 3:16

·      Church, we have been disobedient to scripture, many being comfortable and complacent, and in doing so have been complicit in America's downfall.  There may be no crowns in heaven, much less a "Well done, good and faithful servant" for those who are building their own kingdom rather than God's kingdom.
