Would You Bet Your Life On A Coin Flip? That is the title of the first video in our Coin Flip Evangelism Trilogy. Our short Coin Flip Trilogy is a paradigm-shifting, attention-grabbing video series that any church or individual can use to reach out to friends and family members who have yet to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
Would You Bet Your Life On A Coin Flip? is the first video in the series, asking a basic question to which almost everyone would naturally say no. The video asserts that if you haven't consciously made the decision, you have, by default, made a decision, and will have disastrous long-term consequences as a result.
The second video of this series is entitled, What Decision Did You Make? This video explains that the decision most people have made that they are betting their lives on is the decision not to investigate whether God, Jesus, and their words are real. If the words of the Bible are real, then eternity is real. If eternity is real, then being on the right side of eternity should be extremely important to any viewer.
The third video of this series is called Here is How You Start... This video challenges the viewer to simply read the book of John for themselves, asking God before they start watching the video that if He indeed is real, then to please make Himself known to the viewer as they read the book of John. Following the video, we ask them if they feel led to pray the sinner's prayer and get back with the person who sent them the video.
Just imagine if a pastor wanted to use this tool to reach more people for Christ, the pastor could simply email this video to their congregation in the morning, and by evening, every member could forward it on to friends and family who haven't been exposed to, much less accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior yet. Adding an introduction at the front, or perhaps an invitation message as the trailer, who knows how many people the Holy Spirit convicts during a person's reading of the book of John. Even if it is just one, that is one soul saved from hell. What if everyone in the congregations had just one person respond favorably to reading the book of John and giving their life to Christ, maybe even joining that church as a new member? Why that would double the size of the church... overnight, in a week, in a month. Double!
The fact is, everyone needs Jesus, since we are all sinners. Most Americans just don't know this yet. Jesus assigned the primary responsibility to the church to make these introductions, but sadly, the American church in general has failed miserably in this assignment.
Imagine, however, if using these videos, every person in a church sending them out could lead just one person to the Lord every quarter. What would that look like in a year? It would look like a country saving revival, that is what it would look like.
So what are we waiting for? What are you waiting for? If you are a pastor, engage your church in this outreach. If you are a church leader, be the champion to get your church to evangelize friends and family. Nothing could be easier or quicker than sending a video or text message with a personal note and video attached.
